What We Build

Full Service.
One company. One Team.

Active Construction self-performs underground utilities, site preparation, road construction, wetland mitigation, project management and site remediation services. Here is the work we put in the ground.

Roadway & Street Improvements

City streets, arterials, roundabouts, and complete-streets buildouts — HMA paving, grind-and-overlay, curb/gutter/sidewalk, ADA ramps, bike lanes, illumination, traffic signals, retaining walls, guardrail, and channelization across Pierce, King, Thurston, Kitsap, and beyond.

Site Development & Earthwork

Residential plats (27- to 174-lot), commercial site work, mass excavation, clearing/grubbing, structural fill, retaining walls, parking lots, demolition, TESC/SWPPP, and full underground utility installation for private developers, school districts, and public agencies.

Fish Passage & Stream Restoration

Fish-barrier removal, culvert replacement (CMP to box culvert), engineered log jams, levee setbacks/revetments, stream bypass and channel realignment, floodplain excavation, riparian habitat planting, and wetland creation — primarily for counties, WSDOT, and conservation districts.

Water, Sewer & Storm Utilities

Standalone wet-utility projects — water mains (4-inch through 12-inch+), sanitary sewer, force mains, storm conveyance, detention/retention systems, and culvert replacements. Often a secondary scope on roadway and site-development jobs; primary on dedicated utility extensions and upgrades.

Parks & Trails

Paved multi-use trails, picnic and pedestrian shelters, sport courts, bicycle pump tracks, community gardens, off-leash dog areas, site furnishings, fencing, irrigation, riparian planting, and environmental remediation/open-space restoration at state and county parks.

Emergency Response

Rapid-response mobilization for infrastructure failures and disaster repair — road-slump reconstruction, bridge scour repair, stream diversion, and temporary BMPs on compressed timelines.

One contract. One team. One point of accountability.
