Description:
THE MIDDLE FORK SNOQUALMIE RIVER ROAD PROJECT WILL RECONSTRUCT APPROXIMATELY 9.7 MILES OF THE MIDDLE FORK ROAD, FROM MILEPOST (MP) 2.7, JUST PAST THE COUPLET, TO MIDDLE FORK CAMPGROUND AT MP 12.4. THE PROJECT WILL CONSTRUCT A 20-FOOT PAVED ROADWAY WITH SECTIONS OF 18-FOOT WIDTH USED IN CONSTRAINED LOCATIONS. MINOR HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL ALIGNMENT ADJUSTMENTS WILL BE MADE AS NEEDED TO IMPROVE SAFETY AND BLEND WITH THE CONTEXT OF THE VALLEY. TWO BRIDGES WILL BE RECONSTRUCTED AND ONE BRIDGE REPLACED WITH A CULVERT. NUMEROUS EXISTING ROADWAY CULVERTS WILL BE REPLACED. SIGNING AND OTHER ROADSIDE SAFETY FEATURES WILL BE UPGRADED.

The scope of this project was to construct a single lane roundabout at an existing 3-way intersection to accommodate multi modal transportation improvements. Project elements included the following: clearing and grubbing; pavement removal; grading; compaction; cement concrete curb and sidewalk; storm water conveyance system and storm water treatment facility construction/expansion; abandonment and replacement of asbestos cement water main; extension of existing sanitary sewer main; joint utility trench excavation and installation; private utility service conversions; illumination system; hot mix asphalt roadway; channelization; landscaping, and other associated work.

DESCRIPTION:
aWARDED THE NORTHWEST CONTRUCTION CONSUMER COUNCIL'S 2016 DISTINGUISHED PROJECT AWARD.
The scope of work for this project includes rehabilitation and creation of floodplain wetlands, creation of a meandering Clear Creek channel network, and related riparian buffer on an approximately 40 acre site. A significant amount of material will be excavated and removed from the site. The project also includes planting and establishment of native plant species throughout the site including grasses, shrubs and trees as well micro topography including placement of woody material and snags.

The scope of the project provided bridge replacement of Littlerock Road SW at Salmon Creek crossing. Construction includes removing existing three span bridge and constructing a 71ft span bridge, roadway work approaching the proposed bridge, cantilevered sheet pile walls & guardrail installation.  Other major work included, pulverizing existing asphalt (3,000 SY); crushed surface base course (1,500 ton); wetland mitigation; and other work.
